Hybrid

Hybrid power generation systems can combine solar, wind, battery and generator power to provide electricity around the year. In many parts of the country, the peak operating conditions for solar and wind power occur at different times of the day or even during different seasons, so a hybrid system is more likely to deliver electricity when you need it. Reserve power can be stored in battery banks and a diesel or gasoline generator can be added to the system for those rare locations where there are days when there is neither wind nor sunshine.

Hybrid systems are designed to be operated “off the grid” (i.e. not connected to a commercial power distribution system) which makes them ideal for stand-alone operation. Sophisticated electronic controllers manage the multiple power sources and monitor the status of the batteries. If the reserve runs low, the controller automatically starts the generator to supply power and charge the battery bank.

Solar Thermal

Solar power takes many forms and there are large numbers of its applications where solar energy can be utilized through its heat characteristics which are comparatively simple and low in cost and easy to be benefited. One of the most promising forms of solar power is the thermal solar power plant. Unlike solar cells that use chemicals to transfer the sun’s energy into usable electricity, thermal solar power, concentrates the sun’s tremendous heat energy into heat conductors that transfer the energy to conventional steam turbine engines. At smaller scale, other most reliable, suitable and economical applications include cooking, heating buildings with high temperature steam as well as heating water for domestic, commercial and industrial level and drying agricultural products.

Solar Photovoltaic (PV)

PV cells are panels you can attach to your roof or walls. Each cell is made of the semiconducting material, usually silicon. When sun light shines on the cell it creates an electric field across the cell layers. Thus solar PV cells convert solar energy into electricity that is used to charge batteries to provide electricity and end user can easily use whenever needed. The stronger the sunshine, the more electricity is produced.

PV cells are available in a variety of shapes and colors, from grey “solar tiles” that look like roof tiles to panels and transparent cells that you can use on conservatories and glass.

The strength of a PV cell is measured in kilowatt peak (kWp) – that’s the amount of energy the cell generates in full sunlight.
